The piano is an excellent (and perhaps the best) first instrument for students to experience. Children as young as 4 years old are able to grasp the basic concepts presented on the keyboard right from the beginning, and generally the learning curve is not a steep one for most people.
Our Method combines a classic approach of teaching how to correctly read and count music, as well as helping students develop their natural, intuitive skills on the instrument. Learn how to play music not only by using lesson books, but by also immersing yourself in the songs you’re actually inspired to play. There are so many different types of music that can be played on a piano, including classical, jazz, ragtime, and pop/rock, just to name a few.
We believe every piano student should be exposed to all these different genres, and should be taught the tools they will need to be able to play in each of these. Why choose between playing Bach, Joplin and Adele when you can be learning how to play them all? With the guidance of your instructor, the journey is up to you.
