Jacob resides in Atlanta where he continues to study Instrumental Music Education at Georgia State University. His primary instrument is Clarinet, with which he performs a wide variety of styles from Jazz, Classical, Klezmer, and Pop.

Jacob started his musical journey when his mother let him play the old clarinet she used to play when she was in band. Since then he has been involved in many types of music ensembles including choir, orchestra, jazz bands and various local bands.

Before teaching with Imagine Arts, Jacob has worked with many local middle and high school band programs and has taught private lessons locally as well. When he isn’t playing his clarinet or teaching he loves to indulge in ceramics and go to live shows of local musicians around town. Jacob’s primary goal in teaching is to help students love music enough to be able to appreciate it throughout their entire lives!
