Originally from Charlotte, Syd’s musical journey began at the age of ten when she discovered a passion for playing guitar.
Music has been an integral part of her life ever since, later joining marching band and playing guitar and bass in various jazz bands.
Studying Sound Design at SCAD opened a door to another world of sound for Syd, expanding upon her musical interests and pursuits.
She loves all aspects of music and her primary goal is to share everything she knows with all her students, helping them discover their own interests. Syd strives to help them express themselves through their music, finding their own, unique voices.
